Vintage Wedding - Accent Items ( San Antonio Wedding Planner)

Ideas for a Vintage or Old World Wedding Style

Every bride wants her wedding to be a "one of a kind" event. She would love for her guests to be talking about her wedding - long after it is over. It is in the details - that makes your wedding a "one of a kind" affair. At Elegant Events, I love to scout around for new products on the market, or items that will fit your style. In this article, I have found some items that would go well with a vintage or old world wedding.

The first item is a vintage typewriter than either can be rented or even found at a thrift store. Elegant Events also has a vintage typewriter that can be rented, or this one can be rented from a company in New York called KashbahMod.com. The New York typewriter is fully restored and functional. They do have a selection of about 10 typewriters on line, and they come in various styles and colors. Have fun! I do have an up-and-coming bride who is using a vintage typewriter for her registration table’s sign-in. I will take some pictures and post them after the wedding! I think it is a great way to get out-of-the-box with the ordinary sign-in book. (After the wedding, the bride will place all the typed notes in a vintage scrap album! How cool is that!)

The next item - is a stunning little accent. If you are having a dessert station with some cupcakes - these vintage cupcake wrappers from paperorchid.com will work very well! It certainly adds that little extra vintage touch!

Lastly, when I saw this tack frame - I thought "wow"! The escort / seating assignment area is one of the hardest places to think unique or something different. I love the shape. It is so vintage – plus economical! It comes in two different colors from Mioculture.com. You can get it in tan or chocolate. I like the chocolate. The tack frame is made from 100% granulated cork - a by-product of the wine stopper industry. So, it is very "green" too. So, what a different way to present your escort cards. Just pick out little retro or vintage styled cards, and have all the guests’ names calligraphied onto the cards. This will make an extraordinary vintage display!

Happy planning ~ or just call us, if you need some help :)
